Minutes: April 13, 2015

HANOVER TOWNSHIP LIBRARY MEETING – Secretary’s Report – April 13, 2015     7:00 p.m.


Trustees In Attendance: President Dan Griffin; Vice President Deborah Boden; Secretary Charles Eadie; Treasurer Darlene McKinley; Trustee Leonard Brokaw Trustees Absent: Trudy Metz and Carol Unangst

Public Comments: None


The minutes of the March 9, 2015, meeting and the March 2015 treasurer’s report  were read and will be filed.  

The Director’s report was given (see back of minutes) and will be filed.


Standing Committee Reports:

Finance:  No report.

Building and Grounds:  

Greg Schulz and his son donated their snow removal for the Library this past winter. For the 2015 lawn season, Mark Wild has agreed to mow. Will bill monthly.

Public Relations/Fundraising:  No report

Technology:   No report.


Unfinished Business:  


Denise attended a RAILS member update on March 26 via video streaming at the Freeport Public Library.


Denise trained in the Sierra Cataloging Item Entry on April 9 at the RAILS Coal Valley Service Center.


On April 29 Dawn will cover the circulation desk hours as Denise will be attending the RAILS Delegate's Assembly at Grand Bear Lodge in Utica, IL.


Denise's next training is in Decision Center Overview.


The Library received the 2015/16 per capita grant disbursement in the amount of $1501.25.


Denise Wolter has agreed to do the Library's bookkeeping/payroll duties.


New Business:  


The FY '14-'15 Treasurer's Report was presented. Dolly motioned in favor of the report; Deb seconded. Roll call vote of all in favor: Dan, Deb, Charlie, Dolly, and Len.


A bill of $50 was presented by Dolly for Annella Crandall's retirement gift: A $25 Gift Card from both Charlie's Place and Sullivan's.


The summer reading program begins on May 9th. Dawn has organized the program and will kick it off.


Shari will end the existing Library Facebook page and Deb will start a new one.


The next meeting will be Monday, May 11, 2015.


Motion by Charlie to adjourn the meeting; seconded by Dolly; motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
